Child Seats

ISOFIX availability: every vehicle in the RENAX fleet (2024–2026 models) has ISOFIX mounting points in the rear seats. ISOFIX is the international standard for child seat attachment — rigid connectors that click directly into the car's chassis, eliminating seatbelt installation errors. Most modern child seats are ISOFIX-compatible. If you're bringing your own seat, it will fit. If you're renting locally, specify ISOFIX when enquiring.

Turkish child seat law: children under 135 cm in height AND under 36 kg in weight must use an appropriate child restraint system. This applies to both front and rear seats. The law specifies: Group 0/0+ (birth–13 kg) — rear-facing baby seat. Group I (9–18 kg) — forward-facing child seat. Group II/III (15–36 kg) — booster seat. Fines for non-compliance: ~€25. More importantly, it's about safety — Turkish roads, while generally good, can be unpredictable. Proper child restraints save lives.

Options for getting a child seat: (1) Bring your own — most airlines allow child seats as free checked baggage. This guarantees fit, cleanliness, and familiarity for your child.
