Additional Driver

How to add an additional driver: when booking via WhatsApp, mention that you'd like to add a second driver. Provide their name and confirm they meet the requirements (valid licence, 2+ years held, minimum age 23). At pick-up, both drivers should be present with their licences and passports. We'll add the second driver to the rental agreement at no extra cost. Both drivers are then fully insured under our kasko policy.

Why an additional driver matters: (1) Share long drives — the Kaş road trip (2 hours each way) or Cappadocia drive (8 hours) is more enjoyable when two people can swap. (2) Flexibility — if one person wants to enjoy a drink with dinner, the other can drive. (3) Fatigue reduction — on multi-destination holidays, switching drivers keeps everyone fresh. (4) Emergency backup — if the primary driver feels unwell, the additional driver can take over. At RENAX, adding a driver costs nothing — so there's no reason not to.

How other companies handle additional drivers: most charge €5–15 per day per additional driver. A week's rental with a second driver could add €35–105. Some companies limit additional drivers to spouses only. Some require the additional driver to be present at pick-up and sign the agreement (reasonable — we do this too).
