Driving Guide
Turkey fuel prices fluctuate with global oil and the Lira exchange rate. Fuel is cheaper than in the UK or Netherlands, but pricier than the USA. This guide covers current prices, where to fill up, and fuel budgeting for your Kemer holiday.
Approximate fuel prices (2025): Petrol (Benzin 95 Octane): ~€1.40/L. Diesel (Motorin): ~€1.35/L. LPG (Autogas): ~€0.80/L. Prices updated daily, displayed on large signs at every station. Turkey has high fuel tax (~60% of pump price), so prices are relatively high but stable.
Fuel budgeting: typical day (100 km) in Clio/Egea Cross (5L/100km) costs ~€7. Week of mixed driving (500 km): ~€35. Day trip Kaş return (210 km): ~€15 petrol, ~€11 diesel. Compared to Kemer taxis (€25 minimum/trip), rental car + fuel is significantly cheaper for any exploring.
Where to fill up: stations every 20–30 km on D400 — Shell, BP, Opet, Petrol Ofisi. All full-service (attendants pump). Most accept cards — carry TRY cash as backup for rural stations. Shell at Kemer turn-off (D400 junction) is best for pre-airport fill-up. Pro tip: D400 stations slightly cheaper than Kemer town centre.
