Summer (June–September): peak season. July–August: average highs 33–35°C, sea temperature 27–29°C, virtually no rain. Expect 12–14 hours of sunshine. Crowded, expensive, but perfect beach weather. Book accommodation and rental cars well in advance. Driving conditions: excellent. The D400 is dry and clear. AC in your rental car is essential — all RENAX vehicles have it. Park in shade when possible — cars become ovens in direct summer sun.

Shoulder seasons (April–May, October–November): the sweet spot. May and October: highs 24–28°C, sea 21–24°C, comfortable for swimming, fewer crowds, lower prices. April and November: highs 20–24°C, sea 19–21°C, occasional rain. These are the best months for exploring — warm enough for the beach, cool enough for hiking and ruins. Driving conditions: generally good. Occasional rain in November — roads remain safe. The light in October is golden and photographers love it.

Winter (December–March): quiet season. December–February: highs 15–18°C, sea 17–18°C, highest rainfall (December averages 12 rainy days). March: warming up, highs 18–20°C. Many resort facilities close or reduce services. But for exploring ancient ruins without crowds and enjoying the Taurus Mountains in snow-capped glory, winter has its own magic. Driving conditions: generally fine on the coast. Mountain roads may have snow/ice December–February. Winter tyres mandatory for inland trips (Cappadocia, Ankara). The D400 remains clear year-round.
