Travel Guide
Kemer's dining scene ranges from marina restaurants with yacht views to family-run Turkish lokantas where locals eat for a fraction of tourist prices. Having a rental car transforms your dining options — you're not limited to walking distance from your hotel. Drive 10 minutes to Çamyuva for beachfront fish, 15 minutes to a mountain tea garden, or 50 minutes to Antalya for world-class dining.
Marina & waterfront dining: Kemer Marina has the highest concentration of quality restaurants — seafood, Turkish, and international cuisine with yacht views. Prices are tourist-level (€15–25 per main) but quality is generally good. Recommended: Captain's Table (seafood), Marina Restaurant (Turkish), and the marina-facing terraces for sunset drinks. Driving means you can park at the marina car park (€2) and walk to any restaurant in 2 minutes.
Local Turkish (lokantas & pide): for authentic, affordable Turkish food, head away from the marina. The streets behind Atatürk Boulevard have excellent family-run lokantas serving home-style Turkish food (€5–10 per person). Try: pide (Turkish pizza), İskender kebab, mercimek çorbası (lentil soup), and fresh grilled fish. Çamyuva (8 km south) has excellent fish restaurants directly on the beach — drive there for lunch after Phaselis.
Hidden gems worth driving to: (1) Mountain tea gardens above Göynük — panoramic views, fresh gözleme (savoury pancakes), and Turkish tea. Drive up the forest roads (SUV helpful). (2) Çıralı village fish restaurants — family-run, beachside, some of the best grilled sea bass on the coast. 40-minute drive. (3) Adrasan beachfront fish restaurants — incredibly fresh seafood, mountain views, zero tourists. 45-minute drive. (4) Antalya Old Town rooftop restaurants — world-class dining with harbour views. 50-minute drive, park at Hadrian's Gate. A rental car turns every meal into a destination dining experience.
For fine dining: the marina restaurants (Captain's Table, Marina Restaurant). For authentic local food: family lokantas behind Atatürk Boulevard. For a destination meal: Çıralı's beachfront fish restaurants (40 min drive) or Antalya Old Town rooftops (50 min).
It ranges widely. Marina restaurants: €15–25 per main (tourist prices). Local lokantas: €5–10 per person (authentic, delicious). A mixed meze plate and fresh fish at a Çıralı beachfront restaurant: €12–18. Having a car lets you choose your price point.
Yes — and you should. Çamyuva (10 min), Çıralı (40 min), and Antalya (50 min) all have excellent dining. Remember Turkey's zero-alcohol policy for drivers — if you're drinking, take a taxi or dolmuş.
