Maden Bay is one of the best-kept secrets on the Kemer coastline. Tucked between rocky headlands south of Tekirova, it is accessible only by a rough forest track — which means the beach is almost always empty, the water is untouched, and the silence is broken only by waves and wind.
Getting to Maden Bay
The turning for Maden Bay is signposted off the D400, approximately 18 km south of Kemer centre. The track is unpaved for the last 3 km but manageable in a standard saloon car during dry weather — the Fiat Egea Cross handles it particularly well thanks to its higher ground clearance. In wet conditions, take extra care.
There is no public transport to Maden Bay. A rental car is the only practical way to reach it unless you are prepared for a very long hike from the highway.
What to Expect
A small pebble and sand beach, brilliant turquoise water, and almost complete solitude. There are no facilities — bring your own food, water and sun protection. The snorkelling around the rocky headlands is exceptional, with clear visibility and abundant sea life.
Combine with Phaselis
Maden Bay is only 4 km from the Phaselis ruins, making them a natural pairing for a full day out from Kemer. Explore the ancient city in the morning, then drive to Maden Bay for a quiet afternoon swim.
Tip from RENAX
This is a perfect destination for our Fiat Egea Cross — its extra ground clearance makes the unpaved track much more comfortable than a low-slung city car.
