Beach Guide
Moonlight Beach (Ayışığı Plajı) is Kemer's main beach — a 1 km stretch of pebbly shoreline with Blue Flag status, beach clubs, water sports, and a vibrant atmosphere. It's a 5-minute walk from central Kemer, making it the most accessible beach. Driving means you can arrive early, claim the best spot, and easily carry beach gear.
Getting there: Moonlight Beach is located at the southern end of Kemer, adjacent to the marina. From central Kemer, drive south on Atatürk Boulevard for about 1 km. The beach has a dedicated car park (€2–3/day) directly behind it. Alternative: the marina car park is a 3-minute walk. The beach is clearly signed — you can't miss it. Moonlight Beach Park (the landscaped area behind the beach) has gardens, walking paths, and cafés.
What to expect: the beach is pebbly (not sand) — bring water shoes for comfort. Water is crystal clear and deepens quickly — good for swimming, less ideal for very young children. Facilities: sunbed and umbrella rental (€3–5 per set), showers, toilets, changing cabins, and lifeguards in summer. Beach clubs: several along the beach offer drinks, food, and music — ranging from relaxed to lively. Water sports: jet ski, parasailing, banana boat, and paddleboard rental available. The beach gets busy from 11:00 in summer — arrive before 10:00 for the best sunbed spots.
Driving tips: the Moonlight Beach car park fills by midday in peak summer — arrive early. If full, use the marina car park (3-minute walk). The road along the beachfront is one-way southbound — follow signs. Combine Moonlight Beach with: Kemer Marina (next door, for lunch), Phaselis (15-minute drive south for an afternoon among ruins), or Göynük Canyon (10-minute drive north). Moonlight is the perfect base beach — central, well-equipped, and easy.
